I already blogged about running into problems with IntelliJ 9’s SVN operations once before, and here I am again, unable to check a goddamn thing into my repository because it’s done it again “Checksum mismatch while updating…”
Previous to this error I tried to commit 10 changed files that had a refactored common method in them [...]

NOTE: I am posting this information here because I just spent 20 mins Googling for the types of phrases in the title and never got a direct answer and hope anyone else that isn’t a PHP/WordPress guru that needs help with this can find it with this post.

Caught the introduction of this story over on OS News — apparently folks have been voting on the addition of a global, application-context sensitive menubar in Gnome for a while. I recently ran across an interesting application that allows unprivileged users to install programs. While this maybe a good surface idea, the concept and coolness factor runs a little deeper.
The idea behind 0Install is to give the ’standard user’ install privileges without compromising a system if malicious software is installed. While this is cool [...]

Recently Qt Software, owned by Nokia, announced that the next version of their flagship product, QT 4.5, will be distributed under the LGPL. Prior to this announcement, the platform was free for open source use, while the price of a [...]

Right after we got done laughing about Mixx’s somewhat mixed message on it’s “do more!” submission confirmation page, we tried out Google’s Friend Connect (integrated on the right hand side of the site if you are interested) and saw an even more interesting placement of conflicting functions:
Pretty great if you ask us… immediately after you [...]
